Today, I took advantage of the Phillie's Student Steal with my friend and teammate Chiara and her friend! This deal gives students a discounted ticket to a Phillies baseball game along with a food voucher worth $12 (not much by stadium standards) for only $20! A bunch of people from my frisbee team had decided to go, but I wasn't sure about seeing the game until the day before and bought tickets last-minute with my friend. I haven't been to a baseball game in ages, so I was very excited! I don't see many live professional sports games because they're quite expensive and I also don't have much time, but I really enjoyed going to see my university's football game play at the Lincoln Financial Field–where the Philadelphia Eagles play–a fair amount.

We took the Broad Street Line from Temple to the Citizens Bank Park stadium and it was completely filled with other Temple students! It took us a while to find our section and they wouldn't even let us in during a break so that we wouldn't obstruct anyone's view since that game had already started. It wasn't too long though and we had quite good seats, but we didn't see a single Temple student nearby us. Nonetheless the seats were not too high and just past the foul line, so we had a great view of the ballpark!

Not too long after we sat down, we were all feeling hungry. Our food voucher couldn't get us much, but it was better than nothing. I ended up getting chicken tenders and fries because it felt like ages since I've had it and it was between spending an extra dollar for a bucket of Chickie and Pete's crab fries, or getting more of a meal. As hard as this decision was, I ended up going with the latter for the better value. Once we got our food, I took advantage of the condiment station with unlimited hot peppers and sauerkraut and scooped a bunch into my little basket alongside the chicken tenders and fries. I also grabbed some ketchup and mayo packets to dip them in.
Pro tip: If your hands get cold at an outdoor sports event, run your hands under warm water in the bathroom or the dryer! Also, I wanted to just add a picture of their bathrooms signs because I thought they were super cute!

The game was honestly not very eventful and we were all getting chilly, so we left the game a bit early like most others that were there and made our way out of the stadium and back to the Broad Street Line. The stadium looked so cool from the outside with the dark night sky. Lots of people were flooding out of the stadium since it was clear that we weren't going to take the win and it was getting late and a bit too cold for comfort.

For some reason, I didn't want to leave my sauerkraut behind and insisted that I would eat it when I got home. I carried the sauerkraut all the way down the stairs past the playhouse, onto the Broad Street Line, up to my dorm, and carefully put some cling wrap on the top and placed it in our fridge. I never ended up eating that sauerkraut. Whoops! Honestly it just made it harder for me to ride the subway and took up space in my fridge (which wasn't exactly needed for use anyways). I came home happy that I shared that experience with Chiara and her friend, but even more happy that I could take a hot shower, make a nice, warm cup of tea, and head off to sleep.
