So, you may be wondering how this is even possible without feeling like your legs have gone completely numb. Fear not, a very generous soul has offered one of her special tips to looking good without actually having to brace herself for the cold. Luckily for you, I'm going to keep this one short. With the addition of dresses and skirts, you'll want to get started on planning those adorable new winter looks!
Ready for it—beige fleece-lined leggings! Just picture these under a pair of your regular black sheer tights and you're golden!

For those who don't own black sheer tights without a gazillion holes in them already or would just prefer one article, Amazon has a product that pretty much combines the two into one item! I typically don't purchase from Amazon anymore, but I know that it's still more accessible to most people.
If you're looking for something that doesn't support fast fashion, then I suggest peeping these beauties on Etsy:
Unfortunately, there aren't as many options for darker-skinned folks when it comes to fleece-lined tights. So, I did some research myself and came across a neat Reddit threat looking for this exact thing! Here are the most affordable and inclusive options I could find:
*Update* December 2024
I finally caved and bought the tights that have the illusion of wearing black transparent tights over your skin, and I must say they're really cool! One downside is that the ankle area is too big, so it bunches up weirdly and I have to wear shoes that cover the ankles. This isn't a huge issue for me since I mainly wear longer booties in the winter. You can definitely tell that they're not your real legs if you're paying attention. One easy giveaway is how they bunch at the back of the knees. The feet aren't lined to allow you to fit in shoes better, but I really wish they were lined as well so I wouldn't have to add socks on top.
I give these a 9.5/10 because they're amazing, but you really do have to know that they won't look 100% real. I also felt more confident about buying these because I did it in person. I have seen girls wearing them who appear to have a sallow skin colour that obviously doesn't match. This washed-out yellow colour is really similar to my original test of the nude leggings with real black sheer tights. If you're going to make this purchase, definitely get the product that does it all, and don't waste your money or time trying the first way.
