MOON
Moon was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You can't beat the incredible view and the innovative dishes. Every single thing that was brought out had me amazed. It was easy to get there and if you arrive early, like us, you get to see the view from Madam (the sky bar) as well. They have a fun area with the history of the building too!

We did the four-course lunch menu, which took about 3 hours. This was great because you get to do about 3/4 full rotations. My favourite part was getting to see the kitchen. It was awesome to see the chefs at work. We also added on the oyster tasting and fried rice cakes. Both were 10/10. For drinks, try the sparkling iced tea!! It is so much better than the canned Lipton one, which I actually really like too!

The dessert was fun because of the gold leaf!
The only thing that I didn't particularly like was the uniform of the restaurant staff. They were all wearing dark blue shirts that wrapped like a kimono and light wash jeans. This felt like a pretty nice place, and I understand not wanting to seem too stuck up or elite, but it was a bit odd to see people with what looked like a pajama shirt in East Asia paired with blue jeans walking around. That's just a nitpick and personal preference though.

We had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Thank goodness for that, because it would have been a 30-minute wait otherwise. This place was the only restaurant that was completely packed on the entire block. We got the special 12-dish meal for 2 as well as the soy lemon cod and lamb skewers with coconut. This place is perfect for a shared meal and the presentation is lovely. Every dish is so unique, but everything blends well together, so you can have 3 different bites and it still feels like a complete meal. The staff were excellent and attentive. They had perfect English as well, which was very helpful for us. I recommend this place to anyone in Amsterdam! The surrounding area is incredibly charming, so you can have a nice walk around before or after dinner.
Axum Ethiopian Restaurant
This was a lovely and authentic Ethiopian restaurant. We chose it because it was close to our AirBnb, and it didn't disappoint! Aside from being in a nice neighborhood, the food was amazing! Plus, we got to see a traditional coffee ceremony done by a newly wed couple and their party.
We also tried the honey beer, which was veeery strong. It was cool to try, but it was hard to drink all of it. We loved the cool potion-esque bottle!

Rijksmuseum Restaurant/Cafe
Don't let the line fool you! Service was very fast and the food and drinks were great. I sadly forgot to take pictures of the food, but the small menu ensured good quality. My dad got the bitterballen and I got a salad along with a mocha. The biscuit that came with it was so cute; It was a heart with the Amsterdam flag on it!
Nomad aan het IJ
Our experience had a lovely start but had a shocking decline. The restaurant has a gorgeous interior and the view over the river is unbeatable. Our server was exceedingly friendly and fun. We really liked that each dish was based on a country and that we got to play a guessing game for every course.
On the downside, the service was disappointing. Our drinks, amuse, and first course came out quickly, but the following four took a very long time. The restaurant wasn't particularly crowded, and we could see our server standing and chatting with other members of the restaurant staff. In the beginning, he said that if we would like to speed things up or slow things down, then it would be no problem at all, However, nothing changed at all after we asked. We got there at 6 PM and didn't leave until 9:30. What's worse is that some of the dishes were just lukewarm when they got to the table. It was fantastic food, but absolutely not worth the wait.
I can't justify the price because it felt like we were there for so long. This is more of a nitpick, but it didn't feel great to see that our dessert came in the exact same dish as our first course, which was soup. To add to this, we saw another table receive the same soup in a different dish. If the service remained consistent throughout the night, this would have been 5 stars.
