Let's Rock n Roll!

Today was our very first day of class here in London, but to get the ball rollin', we first we on a walking tour that focused on musical landmarks around the Tottenham Court Road station right where we all got off. Because of the name of the tour, I wasn't very keen on going on it at first. I thought it would be weird or boring, but I was very wrong!

This tour took us around to places like Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club (one of the world's most famous) and the theatre where Jimi Hendrix played Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band just after it came out, and with members of The Beatles in the audience! This was such a cool way to kick off the study abroad program and discover all of this musical history within walking distance from where our classes were being held.

Somewhere along the way, our group had a pleasant surprise! My professor went up to a relatively short blonde man walking his dog. I had absolutely no idea who he was at the time, but the few other students around us started freaking out upon seeing him. Turns out, it was Alfie Allen who plays Theon in Game of Thrones. She took a selfie with him and a classmate of mine while I tried to hop into the frame behind them, but alas my timing was off.
