I Watched the Marvel Movies in Timeline Order

Yep, you read that right. I dedicated 23 times 2-3 hours of my summer to achieving one of the most difficult tasks in my entire life. Surprisingly, I had not seen almost half of the MCU films until this past year at all.

You may be wondering what prompted me to want to do this in the first place. Well, I've always had a small desire to do it in the back of my mind, but it wasn't until I watched WandaVision that made me want to fully understand the fantastical journey that is the Marvel Universe. When watching the new series, I realized that I jumped into Marvel with really no knowledge at all. The first Marvel film I ever saw was Thor: The Dark World—in theatres—and I had absolutely no clue what was going on. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it all the same! Once I watched Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, and Thor, so many pieces fell into place for me. It felt like my responsibility to myself to keep going.

Disney also made it really easy for me because they already put the movies in timeline order on Disney+. What a time to be alive.

Also, it's COVID...so I don't really have anything else to do. This might be the only acceptable time for me to be glued to my tv.

It was such a fun mission for me. I must admit, I didn't pay 100% attention while watching or I would have gone crazy. For some movies, I was more invested, but for many, I was doing some graphic design work on my iPad at the same time.
