I just finished my last semester of undergraduate school and it still doesn't feel quite real. I completed my "real" final semester in the Spring when I finished all of my major and minor classes back at Temple main campus. I actually got extremely sick three times throughout the semester—thankfully, not COVID. However, it was still pretty bad. Every time I was sick, I had an extremely sore throat, fever, and coughing fits to the point of gagging. I actually was quite ill during finals—AGAIN—and stayed at home for most of it. I feel very lucky that I was well enough to get everything handed in on time because of how bad I was feeling.
Despite my unexpected health issues, the end of the semester was not all bad. I am so sad to leave everyone I have met, either through classes, the volleyball club, or at my dorm. Some people are from main campus and will be returning back to Philly, but I have made plans to move to Chicago and either complete a graduate degree at DePaul University or take on the Fulbright, if I get accepted.
I just arrived at my parents' hotel by SkyTree, the tallest building in Tokyo! I am so excited to be able to show them around and share my love for Japan with them. We start our 5-day tour tomorrow, but there is actually 1 free day, so I made some plans ahead of time. Stay tuned!
