First Day at the Gallery!

Today marks the first official day of my internship at the Bernard Jacobson Gallery in Piccadilly Circus! Piccadilly Circus, parallel to Oxford Circus, is right in the heart of London. It's a short walk to many famous landmarks: Leicester Square, the West End, Trafalgar Square, Hyde Park and more!

I got to meet my mentor, Annie, and some of the other employees at the gallery. The owner, Bernard Jacobson, was one of David Bowie's art dealers when he was alive. Bernard actually has Annie make his coffee, but she made sure I wouldn't have to do that. She is so kind and has been recommending me lots of places to eat, since she is also a foodie!

I have a really good feeling that I will be happy working here. I've never had any sort of internship before, and this doesn't exaaaactly connect with my major, but I'm excited to learn more about the art world!
